About Me

I was born in Michigan City, Indiana. I grew up in a large family and lived in several states throughout the Midwest.

After attending college for two years , I joined the United States Air Force. After twenty-three years on active duty, I retired. After retirement, I worked as a contractor with the United States Air Force before deciding to professionally pursue my passion for writing.

I have always enjoyed a love of reading and writing, and am excited to have completed my first published book, Moms in The Military: Raising a Child While Serving In The Armed Forces in December 2022. The book was awarded the Silver Medal from the Military Writers Society of American in September 2023.

In December 2023, my second book, Shrouded In Words A Collection of Poetry, was published and is available for sale on Amazon and other online bookstores.

I am currently working on a companion piece to Moms In The Military Raising A Child While Serving In The Armed Forces, a new collection of poetry (yet to be titled), and am a contributing author to project about moments that matter.

I consider myself a woman of faith, a true Renaissance, and a citizen of the world. I believe we should all strive to inspire, motivate, and educate others as we move through life.

I live in Cibolo, Texas with my husband, Jamal. Together we have three children and two grandchildren.
